Pancit Malabon in the House!

Imagine a world without pancit. Does it make a difference? Of course not. So better imagine a carinderia without pancit. Or imagine your life without pancit. Isn’t it short? Eat pancit for a longer life. That’s our grandparent’s motto. Whether it is proven or fraud, eating pancit had been a part of the Filipino culture. Every celebration, whether it is birthday, graduation, simple gatherings, big occasions, or even on first communion, pancit is our saving grace. Basically it is because it’s cheaper and easier to prepare.

Pancit Malabon is a Filipino dish which obviously came from the city Malabon that eventually spread all over the country for its delicious taste. Dhel and Vic’s Special Pancit Malabon, located at Bagbaguin Sta. Maria, Bulacan is famous for their mouth-watering dishes. They also offer Pancit Guisado but Pancit Malabon is their best-seller and specialty. For many years, this store maintained the goodness and richness of the quality of their food and continued to gain more costumers.

Pancit Malabon Prices

My mother is a loyal costumer of it. Since then, she had always been a fan of the blooming career of their pancit. What she liked most about it is being stuffed with different toppings like eggs, shrimps and vegetables which made me crave for more, every time. Forget the hassle! They got it all! We all know that the most annoying part of eating pancit malabon often times is the fact that you have to squeeze calamansi to add a sour flavour which balances the salty taste of the patis(fish saunce). But don’t you worry! They’ll do it for you. That’s what make this store very unique from the others.

It is always open even on Holidays ready to serve all of the costumers. You can pick up the food anytime you want for they always offer take out! Dining in is also a good choice if you're a passerby. Motorists and Taxi drivers are its frequent costumers for they always stay and eat here after a hard day of work. Actually, it's not so big for a lot of diners. Their place could accommodate only 30-40 costumers. But what they lack in area, they made up for their menu.

If ever you need something that would worth your money and satisfy your stomach, don't forget the most delicious pancit in town. Dhel and Vic's stall will be always ready to serve you. Well, squeezing the calamansi to the whole Pancit Malabon is always part of their public service and will continue to help as long as loyal costumers exist. Try it! I tell you, this one thing could surely make you go "hmmm".

Pancit! Just feel the Heat!

Every celebration especially birthdays, pancit is always one of the dishes that every Filipino loves to serve. It says that if the birthday celebrant prepares pancit, it will give him or her longer life. In many provinces or cities, they also have different kinds of pancit that they are proud to serve to their guests. Giving example to Quezon province, where they have pancit lucban or pancit habhab, in Malabon which is pancit Malabon, pancit estacion in Cavite and many more specialties for me to mention the different mouth-watering kinds of pancit.

PON LO TAI Panceteria in Antipolo City near to Provincial
Capitol of Rizal and Ynares Center

Antipolo is not famous when it comes to pancit, but there are some panciteria that offers different kind of pancit. I was only 3rd year high school when I tasted the dishes of the Pon Lo Tai Panceteria, many people after watching events in the Ynares Center go to this Restaurant. They have known in the Antipolo not only because of their pancit but also in their different dishes. PON LO TAI has two branches, the first one is in Antipolo and the other is in Taytay Rizal.

This Sunday before we go to the church where I attend, my bestfriend and I went there, we had a lot of things that we reminisced in that place specially the food that we ate before, we describe it as it was like chopsuey that there was an egg on top and four fried siomai, we laughed because we don’t know the name of that dish.  We describe it to the waitress and she said that it is Hototay, for those people who are really veggie lover I recommend that dish. But of course we want to taste the specialty of the restaurant which is the Pancit. The said Panceteria offers 4 different kind of pancit but their best selling pancit Miki Bihon is the one that we order

Miki Bihon

Their miki bihon has two different toppings that you can choose; lechon or shrimp, it is not only mouth watering but also affordable that two or three person can eat.

                                                 Chopsuey with lechon

We also ordered chopsuey with lechon that everybody will love for sure. For those people who don't eat veggie, you should try this one =)

Even though this dish is not really originated here in the Philippines, Filipino made their own specialty in cooking this dish. When you feel so crave to eat pancit, just go to Pon Lo Tai Panceteria or just call them to have pancit delivery =) happy eating.

THE PECULIAR PANCIT THAT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART.

Noodles were first introduced by Chinese in the Philippines and from that day on, the Filipinos adopted it into local cuisine and call it pancit. There are many types of pancit that can be found here, some were:  Pancit Bihon, Canton, Lomi, Luglog, Malabon, Mami, Miki, Molo, Palabok and Sotanghon.
But let me share something on how I discovered the very unique pancit I’ve ever seen in my entire life. When I was a little kid, I can barely notice already, how my mother loves pancit. I remember how she always asked my father to buy her the ingredients (or what we called as rekados ) she needed for her home made pancit. But aside from cooking, she loves to buy the various types of pancit here in San Pedro. One of them were ALing Vilma’s Pancit Palabok, which is one of my favorites aside from my Papa Ely’s own version of palabok. For only 25php, you can now enjoy a very delicious pancit palabok. Alving Vilma’s store can be found on the ground floor, west wing of Suki Market, Mabini Street, San Pedro, Laguna.
But then Aling Vilma’s Pancit Palabok is not the unique pancit I’m talking about… I’m talking about a Pancit Bihon that my mother brought me home. After plating the pancit, I am indeed really in shock! Wondering why? It’s because I found a sunny side up egg on th top of the plain pancit bihon! And it doesn’t end to that, there’s this red sauce on it, and I asked my mother if what’s the red’s stuff doing on this plate, she she answered back and says “Ketchup yan! I-mix mo yan lahat with the sunny side up at bihon. Masarap yan!” I stared at my mother, thinking “maybe. My mama just loved pancit so much that even the strangest type of it, she will eat it all up”. She began talking again and said “You don’t some? Okay I’ll just enjoy it myself” and then started eating it. Watching her eating the odd version of that pancit makes me hungry, so tried it. After eating, I said to myself, delicioso in spanish, abashta in korean, oishii in japanese and KA-SARAP-SARAP in tagalong. WTF! LOL! :D Very delicious.

Aling Masyang's Pancit Bihon

That is why when were tasked/assigned to write about the best pancit in town, I first think the pancit that my mother brought home. Since she already passed away, I asked my father about it and begun searching for the most unique pancit I’ve ever seen and finally I found it at Aling Masyang’s store located at the corner of Garcia’s Street, Barangay Poblacion , San Pedro, Laguna. When I got there, I ordered one and bring it back home so that I can share it with my father and for me to reminisce the times when my mother first brought it home. :D
The first spoonful of the bihon, the egg yolk, the ketchup was amazing. You can actually taste the perfect combination of the three. After long years, the tang, the flavor, the savor on my mouth was exactly the same. PERFECT! I just wish that I can share it with my mother right now, but then I realized, my mother will be very happy because NOW that I posted it here, I CAN SHARE THE INCREDIBLE, THE MOST UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS PANCIT I EVER HAD TO YOU GUYS! Thanks Mama! I love you. :)
So grab some Aling Masyang’s Pancit Bihon. Dito sa sa SAN PEDRO, PANCIT AY DELICIOSO! :)

Craving for Pancit Malabon! WTF?!

If it's PANCIT that we're gonna be talking about, then definitely Pancit Malabon shouldn't be left out! One factor maybe that affected my preference about pancit is that whenever going to school, in our place there are stalls that sells ready to eat "agahan" so you don't have to rush yourself cooking breakfast which takes time. Those stalls mainly sell pancit canton, pancit bihon, pancit palabok and most of all pancit malabon together with champorado and sopas. What i loved about pancit malabon is that its taste is so rich that you can only crave for more after eating that's why I'm almost always late for school! The shrimp on top of the pancit don't fail to make this food more attractive and delicious together with the chicharon and slices of hard boiled egg,uhh what can I do? Crave! What I did not expect is that my mother will be employed in a pancit malabon shop in Mandaluyong as a cook and guess what she's gonna be cooking? Ofcourse Pancit malabon which only made me crave! The store's name is Corrines Pancit Malabon which caters short orders and deliveries in certain places in Metro Manila with a very affordable price! They also offer pancit dishes for vegetarian! So here's their menu to crave on just visit this site to check out their mouth-watering dishes!
Corrine's Pancit Malabon or you can also call them on 5338848.
