The Master Baked Pastries

CALAMANSI CAKE

BANANA CAKE

BROWNIES

Mouth watering isn’t it? It seems like it was served in a five star hotel? Well, I have a good news for you guys, all of those pictures were all home made and at its lowest price.

Pastries made not by using an oven but a frying pan and a charcoal. Impossible right? Well let me tell you, in the small town of San Pedro, Laguna lives a widowed father with one daughter who loves to cook without using any measurements for ingredients and loved experiments. He just love cooking from the heart. His name is Eleazar Ortiz Garcia or known as the Master in cooking, Ely. A pastry is it, tell him anything you want and he’ll cook it for you just the way you want it. Aside from brownies (with peanuts or marshmallows), banana cake and calamansi cake, Ely’s Creation also offers Raisin cake and cookies, choco chips, chocolate cake (if you want, with coffe butter cream icing), rotti (bread originated in India), pancake with powdered sugar, onion and garlic bread and whole lot more.

They also offer main dishes such as Sinigang (baboy, hipon, bangus, manok, hito), Adobo (manok, baboy, igat, hito, tamban, hipon), Steamed Tilapia with onions, tomatoes, calamansi, pepper and salt, which is my favorite, most especially the sauce inside right after you cooked it (best partner with rice! Yum! Yum! LOL! WTF?), Fried Tofu, Tofu (Korean style), Grilled Tilapia and Tamban with Talbos ng Kamote and Rellenong Bangus. In addition to that, why not try their AVOCADO Ice Cream. A delightful taste from up above!

You'll surely loved the uniqueness of his food, or what his customer's called: ELY's CREATION! :)

The Baker Queen

The Baker Queen on Bagbaguin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan

As I wander through streets looking for some pastry, I found this interesting shop alongside Bagbaguin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan. The place’s ambiance was peaceful for it was not built in the noisy streets of the central town. Most of the structure is made of wood. The tables, chairs, walls, shelves and designs are made of wood. Plants also surround the place showing their environment-friendly business. The people inside are as welcoming as the area itself. I also can smell the aroma of the bread even outside the shop so I went inside to check it out.

Dining Area of the Shop

Different Pastries On Shelves

The Baker Queen was serving delight for its costumers for almost a year. It’s November 2011 when Anicia Malabanan, the owner, decided to start baking for business. Since then, many started to visit their shop and had it as their favorite. They serve customers from 6 in the morning ‘till 10 in the evening. Most customers stop over the shop for pasalubong usually every night so it’s the busiest time of the shop.

Filipinos surely love a sweet blend of bread and coffee in the morning before a hard day of work. No wonder why their bakeshop is loved by people. It’s a wonder why customers come and visit them on night time. This only shows how good their pastries are.

Ube Cream Cheese Loaf

Dulce de Leche

Ham and Cheese Loaf

Sugar Free Ensaymada

One of their bestsellers is the Cheesy Ensaymada. I’m not lucky enough to taste it or even took a glance of it because it’s still not ready when I came over. But I was able to see their other in demand breads like Ube Cream Cheese Loaf, Dulce De Leche and others. They offer bread loaves for only Php65. What amazed me is the Sugar Free Ensaymada made from Stevia Plant. They use it as substitute for sugar that made the ensaymada maintain its sweetness in a healthier way. I’m on my way not to believing until they asked me to taste it. I picked a leaf and took a bite. On my surprise the leaf itself is oh-so sweet. Stevia's taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar, although some of its extracts may have a bitter or licorice-like aftertaste at high concentrations.

Bonete Bread

Nuts and Raisins

Raisin Oatmeal

They also have what they call Bonete bread. It’s after the Filipino word bonete which means bonnet in English. It was delicious and tasted like bicho or local doughnuts. I bought a bag which cost only php20. I noticed some delicacies sold like cookies called Raisin Oatmeal and others. Coffee is also available, a perfect partner for their pastries.

On my first visit, I can say it’s the most delightful bakeshop in town. That’s why customers couldn't take their fork off their food. Especially to their not-so sweet, delectable treat, the Sugar Free Ensaymada. Like the Koreanovela hit on GMA 7, The Baker King, their simple treats have divine tastes. The Baker Queen will continue to serve their beloved customers with their premium quality ingredients like the Stevia plant :)

CHERISH BAKESHOP!! "bakeshop that you can Cherish =)

Whenever the rain falls, I always want to eat something and that what makes the weather complete for me. Now even though there’s a heavy rain outside I decided to go to the nearest mall in our house to go for a food. Since pastry is our theme I decided to go here in cherish bakery.

Red Velvet Cake and Chocolate Fudge Cake in Cherish Bakeshop

Before, I already featured the church here in Antipolo which is the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage and the Pasalubong Center beside it. Some step away from the Church and beside the Pasalubong Center you can find the Victory Mall Antipolo where you can also locate the cherish bakery. In fact while I’m writing my blog now I eat their best cakes, the Chocó fudge cake and Red velvet cake. I know that the best partner of cake is coffee since I don’t drink coffee I decided to partner it with strawberry fruit milk.

I actually don’t eat chocolate cake but mostly this is one of the Filipinos favorite. When you enter here in the cherish bakeshop, the people around is so approachable. And I discovered that it is not only cakes and bread they offer to their consumer but also soup, pasta, salad, sandwich and variety of beverage like this.

Strawberry Fruit Milk =)

What makes Cherish Bakeshop unique in the Victory Mall Antipolo is that it is the only bakeshop so that it is easy to locate. It offers complete meal from the appetizers down to the desserts and that what makes the Cherish Bakeshop cherished by many.
